What Does It Do?
Counterbalances the driver. It is lifted by
the crane, allowing adjustment of the
ride-height for different drivers, and to
lower the driver to the ground. The lead
came from melted-down 2oz car-tire
balancing weights - all 470lbs of it.
The lead is not shown in this photo (It looks
like lead, though)
